Adobe PDF Help

Downloading & Viewing PDFs

To download any PDF from the Equity Action website, simply click on the link pertaining to the document that you wish to download. Depending on your connection speed, downloading can take from several seconds to more than a minute.

To view, write to, or print a PDF, you need to first install Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free application available here.

Working with PDFs

You may save any PDF document to your hard drive by going to the "save" icon in your Adobe Acrobat Reader window and choosing the directory into which you wish to save. You may also print the document by choosing "Print..." under the "File" category in your Adobe Acrobat Reader window. We highly recommend saving a copy and/or printing out any writable PDF (see below) that you may have filled out to your hard drive.

Working with "Writable" PDF Forms

For your convenience, some of the PDF application forms on this site have been made "writable", meaning that you can type directly into the available textfields as you would any online form. To do this, download and open the PDF application, place your cursor in the field that you wish to fill in, and simply type. You can move forward from one field to the next by hitting your tab button or by re-placing your cursor in the next field that you wish to fill in. Once you have filled out the form to your liking, you can print it out and/or save it to your hard drive (we recommend saving it for your records).

Please note, the Rhode Island Foundation will not except emailed or faxed forms - all PDF applications, regardless of whether they were filled out online, by hand, or by typewriter, must be mailed to the address specified on the application.

All PDFs require the free Adobe Reader.
